Leicester (N) - Community Shield | Post-Match Thread

No big deal really. Got beat by one of the top teams in the league, who were pretty much at full strength. We learned nothing we didn't already know, we need a striker, Mendy and Ake( although Rodri did him no favours) will never be anything other than poor squad players. On to the next one.
 
I thought overall we were the better team. Not bad considering we have so many out. Edozie has talent but I think Palmer has that something special, much better on the left of the centre after Gundo went off. Not sure Torres is going to make a striker, he can finish but is not involved most of the time. It will be a tough start to the season so if we can be undefeated until everyone gets back that will be a success.
 
I thought that was quite encouraging all things considered.

That was an almost full strength Leicester side going up against our side with only Dias, Gundogan, Rodri and Grealish who get into our first side 11. Two of them came on as subs as well.

That said, If we don’t sign a striker in this widow then someone at the club deserves the sack.

Ake - lot to prove and probably not good enough
We could do with a younger fitter faster holiding midfielder
will miss berni
oh and a striker and a striker will be nice

With all due respect, you are in no position to tell the best manager in the world how to pick a team and play football. This insistence that Pep should listen to us just comes across as disrespect considering the success he's brought us and the best football we will ever witness.

Onto the game - rusty and sloppy which should be expected considering who we have available and how much they've played against a team that will probably line up that way for most of the season. Steffen I thought was good as was Ake, I think its looking like it'll be a bit of a rough few weeks until the regulars are put back in and get fit.

If we had won it would have meant zilch , Leicester won and Brenda is a trophy winning machine , the highlight was actually seeing Grealish in our shirt , never thought it would happen, thank you Sheik Mansour.
 
this game came way too early for us, hoping for much different picture vs Spurs in one week. too many balls lost, bad passes.
 
Toothless.
Front 3 may gave well not being on 1st half.
Better 2nd half but still hardly worked the keeper.
Every time we are under strength we get the same performance
 
same issue that fucked us in the CL final, no forward, nothing happening up front. Mahrez waste of space and waste of a place.
