“…stay in fucking Chicago mocking actual match going fans who as a result have more of a right to an opinion…”

Ah, there it is!

You are quite clearly a better “fan” than I am!

“…more of a right to an opinion,” though?
Get a grip.

About 1967 for me, and I travel 4,000 miles to see City. You?

Seasoncard. You?

I flew from USA to Madrid FOR THE DAY to see City play. You? My pilot on the flight went to the game after I talked to him before the flight. You? Is HE a bigger fan than you?

…more of a right to an opinion?

I've crossed swords with you on another thread and came to the conclusion you were a prick back then. Nothing I've seen since had altered my opinion. Chicago is welcome to you, violent City I hear, don't get caught in the crossfire now, have a nice day.

Nice…

I’m a prick, and not “entitled” to an opinion, because I live and work overseas.

As for your comment about violence and crossfire, it’s beneath even you.

Here you go…

Let me know if you are short of the readies!

Nah you’re not a prick because you live and work overseas, you’re a prick because you are a prick. To be fair to Paul I don’t know him but when I read his posts I like him and think proper Blue, when I read your posts I just yawn.

The Watford fans brought a lump to my throat I must admit. Being shit ourselves for years I fully felt their pain getting hammered on the big stage and their pride still in their club.
The Watford fan who would fit in remarkably well with the FOCs in CBL3 put the whole experience in a nutshell - "We know who we are, and where we are!" And there but for the grace 'n money of The Good Sheik go MCFC.

Best leave it Paul, based on the Grealish thread he has got weeks in him saying the same thing over and over again. If flags don’t add to the atmosphere then it begs the question why the club put them on every seat for the big home European games snd why the 1894 group go to great effort and expense on doing what they do in the south stand. Personally I think that thousands of flags being waved at the same time looks good and is visually much more of a positive than negative factor for the players. However it’s far easier to be a negative meany mouthed mocker and say “oh flags don’t matter”, it’s the same attitude as those who sit on their hands and thing it’s beneath them to sing and get behind the team. Some people put their energy into making negative comments on football threads. No wonder the atmosphere isn’t what it was

I didn't say you're not entitled to an opinion, I said match going fans who are actually there, their opinion is more valid. Why? Because they are at the sharp end and therefore their experience of what happens around and inside the ground IS more valid. Comments on team performances I agree, anybody who's watched the game, either on TV or live sees the same game, albeit differently a lot of the time. I'll give you an example of the difference in being there and watching it on TV. I've been at the game where the atmosphere has been great. I've come home to read the post match thread with loads who watched on TV saying the atmosphere was shit. Big difference.

Kudos to you if you travel back for every game, I kept my season ticket going when living in Kent for five years, not exactly the distance of Chicago but given the train service at the time it probably took me as long to travel there and back.

Rush of blood, happens after a brain injury from time to time, but yes that wasn't a pleasant remark about crossfire, I retract that

My finances are just fine thanks , so much so I took early retirement five years ago.

You're still a prick though....

I agree. If the new singing end is ever going to work when it materialises they need to keep some of the people who I'm not sure if they're alive or dead at the game out, I've seen more enthusiasm at a funeral.

I've had to retract some of my last but one post to him. I really need to stop getting so irate on a bloody football forum it isn't good for my health. I'm glad I don't live where he does because with the easy access to guns I'd be doing life now lol.
