How can we be expected to put out a decent team when so many of our squad have been in these mid-season tournaments. Same goes for Leicester I suppose. Its about time these money grabbing global/continental organisations got put in their place and domestic countries' managements told them to "take a hike" and give players some recuperation time.
For example next season looks stupid with the World Cup in the lead up to Christmas.

Have we started our training camp yet for new season?Lot´s of English teams are playing friendlies already.

Why is the kick-off set for 5pm? - the last train I can get home leaves Paddington at 8:32pm which means that I could probably watch the match and get there but no margin for extra time/penalties or transport issues between Wembley and the station.

It destroys the enjoyment of the match if constantly worrying about the return journey.

What is so bad about 3pm kick-offs?

Crazy that. No wonder there are so many injuries to players when they're not getting proper rest. The season has only just finished and we're straight into pre-season.

3pm? on a Saturday? .... OMG that's just so 1980's retro!!
Like every match at Wembley seems to be these days, it's a piss take, even the final of the Euro's at 8pm on a Sunday was as fan unfriendly as it could be. For whatever reason the TV companies appear to love Saturday tea-time kick offs so viewing figures must support it and, as usual, any inconvenience to the match going fans is of no consequence.

Do you normally go to home games?
I live in Edinburgh too and would be good to travel with other fans if that could save me a few quid

Yes
There is an Edinburgh supporters club and also NES North East Scotland branch. Both travel regularly.
Think they are both Facebook based

Only seems five minutes ago since our champs league fiasco, now we're three weeks away from starting again. Not feeling it at all yet, just praying fans can get back in for the prem season.
Not got a clue as to what the team will look like for this, could be an academy eleven

I don’t think it’s so much that fans love it, more that they have to acknowledge a fait accompli and if they want to watch their favourite (or even non favourite) teams unfortunately they have to watch at the times dictated. The TV companies have us over a barrel.

Sorry, mini rant over!

Its all about TV and the broadcasters know they can get far higher viewing figures at 5pm on a sunday than they can get at 3pm on a saturday
