Even if Delph was fit, I don't see much merit in playing a midfield 3 against a team that bypass the midfield and play quick direct football straight to the strikers. The key tonight is to drop the back line a little deeper than usual to stop runs in behind, and push Sterling and De Bruyne up to nullify their wingers attacking threat.
