He is more likely to get injured from not playing games?

Sorry I meant to quantify that with 'through lack of match fitness'

It is easy to forget how fast the games come over this time of year. And if we can't use our squad against a Championship side in the league cup, when are we ever going to be able to use it?

Kompany will get his match fitness from Fulham, Liverpool, Palace and Swansea all played within 12 days.
Precisely the games he needs building.up for.

-------------Hart---------------
Milner---Boyata--Lescott---Kolarov
--------Rodwell--Garcia----------
Navas----------------------Lopes
-------Jovetic----Dzeko----------

Hope Guidetti comes on for some minutes too.

Was back to his best against Arsenal. He doesn't need any sharpening up.
After two games?
I'd like to see him.in others won't. Its all guess work after all.

Hi, another 'Fox' here... Looking forward to Tuesday, it'll add to the amazing Cup history between our teams....just a pity we haven't enjoyed a little more success in the previous meetings.
I've been following Leicester since the mid '60s, so remember when we ALWAYS seemed to meet, in both the FA and League Cups every bloody season......You usually came out on top, though I well remember our 4-3 win, (from 0-2 down), the year you pipped your noisy neighbours to the League title......Didn't you win 4-3 at Newcastle on the last day of the season??????
Have always had a soft spot for City, (probably cos I've always detested Manchester's 'other ' team.... !!!

The 2-2 draw, (and replay defeat) when Sven was in charge were memorable, so I hope we'll give you another decent game tomorrow. Not overly hopeful 'cos we're struggling for fit strikers, but do think that, if Dyer and Knocky play, you'll at least know you've been in a game!!!
Think you'll edge it but hope we do........Whatever though, I hope you go on to win the title. Got no time for any of your rivals and, at least, City entertain EVERY time they play!!

Cool Coalville. Make no mistake about it, this is a big game for us, and while we won't start with our strongest 11, if required we'll finish with a very strong side. Pellegrini has made it clear that it's his strategy to go as far as possible in all competitions, if for no other reason that to keep his squad players happy and match fit.

Hope you're going to the match and enjoy it. Given the great distance I live from the Etihad, I envy you. One of the great pleasures of living in England must be big football matches in the winter, meeting your pals, a beer or hot whiskey, and that incomparable feeling when the ball hits the back of your opponents' net. Cheers to all Foxes tonight.

Mmm interesting one for MP's selection this:
Not sure he's ready to put Joe back in the Prem 1st 11 yet.
The back 4 is interesting but we can't afford to take the piss Leicester are flying in the Championship and can't see them resting too many so forget putting EDS in the starting line up but would have a couple on the bench maybe Lopes and Rekik. Would imagine their players are gagging for a go at us. We're a bit of a scalp these days don't forget. I'd play most of the side that played against Bayern if it was me but resting Ferna and giving Rodwell some game time. POssible Dedryk might get some game time as he didn't play for the EDS at West Brom. We still need either Samir or SiIva in the middle to create - I''d probably go 45 minutes each starting with Silva. Right back is the contentious position as Micahs injury leaves us light or no cover there so is it right to play him again? I don't know see what MP does with this one.
As another change I'd give Jovotic first 60 as well if he's fit as they say he must be raring to go. Navas to come on for him 2nd half.
That way Kompany - Yaya - Nasri/Silva - Ferna - Negrado - Navas all well enough rested for Fulham.

Hart
Zab
Demichelis
Lescott
Kolorov

Garcia
Rodwell
Milner
Silva

Dzeko
Jovetic

Cheers Mr Fox!!! Think it could be a tough game, especially if we dont get an early goal. Our away from has been a point of ad naseum discussion recently. Its a big game for us as well. If we win, we are only a step away from Wembley and a trophy. If the Rags win, and we get drawn together, thats practically a freaking bye!!!!!
