Watching Pepe absolutely boss it at 33, makes its very important for us to sign Bonucci ASAP.

We were linked with Pepe 3 years ago and if I remember it was shot down here quickly.. Manly due to his antics... But would have the main stay of our defence had he signed 3 years (only hypothetical)

Erm no......Sergio didn't get a sniff because he was on his own up front with the midfield about 100 yards behind him. Pellers couldn't fathom out how to disconnect the kitchen sink from the kitchen.

I don't think Juventus will replace Bonucci with Benatia.

He was good at Roma, but he was injured for 5 months of the season. Three separate muscle injuries. Was injured a lot in his first season at Bayern too - it's the main reason he hasn't done well there.

They can't rely on him to replace Bonucci - and they were linked with him long before our Bonucci bid came up as well.

Not to mention the simple numbers of it all. They can't go into a season with 4 CBs and 3 of them on the pitch at any one time.

Pepe wouldn't have started at Real Madrid for a decade and won two champions league finals if he was shit.

I don't know why anyone would think he's anything other than a great defender. He's a cheating diving twat, but he's an exceptional CB.
