L'Equipe report that Guardiola has met with United

The meeting probably took place. Until Pep signs we can't be sure of anything. But I'm sure he won't get a better offer than from us. City are the future, Utd are the past.

Interesting last line there.
Barcelona have nothing to do with this, and most of the Guardiola camp from his Barca days are now at City.

The fact that Guardiola would be talking to as many clubs as possible before making a decision is also unsurprising, considering his track record of only making a commitment to a club as close to the time that he is supposed to be starting the new project as possible.
When you say track record, you mean once, even then I seem to remember that he committed to Bayern quite early and learnt German while in New York, could be wrong on that though.

You can understand why they would leak that but what's the angle here?
To get weak-kneed flappers like you panicking? ;-)

The same angle as in May 2013 - de-stabilisation. I suspect there's a little war going on between us and them behind the scenes. So much so I'm beginning to wonder if we haven't played some part, directly or indirectly, in these Messi & Mascherano tax cases.

Haha. Those fucking Catalans love getting me all worried!

Interesting but I can't see how this would really destabilise the club. The focus is all on United. If anything it's going to destabilise them, whether it's true or not.

PB do you wear a tinfoil hat too? ;)

That's not my opinion mate, I've posted it from a news report.

As far as I know Pep nor City have stated he/Pep signed for us. That is the moment everyone will know.
L'Equipe could be wrong, so could Martin Samuel who is simply a columnist at the Dail Fail of all papers. Martin Samuel despite all his sources didn't know anything about the Chinese deal, now did he?
It's funny that we mainly state not to trust the papers. It seems to be the case unless it's something nice about City.
I personally get sick and tired reading these daily stories about Pep. And all these clowns and papers who say they are ITK. And the people who simply believe it because they so much want Pep to join City. I hope he comes to us, either this summer or the next one. If it happens, I will be happy. If it doesn't happen I'm sure our owners have a few more tricks on their sleeves to keep our club progressing one way or the other.

Lets not forget MD:)

To summarise: "Yeah he's good, yes we're shit but he doesn't stay anywhere long and he doesn't suit our model of giving all the power to the manager. And anyway, he's going to City."

Mitten just had to add this little gem into his piece.

*United stand accused of not going for football’s best manager when he has said he is leaving, for failing to press the case of United, a far bigger club with a more distinguished history, over City, who did not win a trophy between 1976 and 2011.*

But, but, I just couldn't help myself.

Rag, c***!

I've never understood this "We've got history" thing that the rags and Liverpool constantly come out with. For all Liverpool's history, they're a mid-table club who've not won the league in nearly 30 years. And both Forest & Villa have won the European Cup but they'll be playing each other in the Championship next season.

Marchand undoubtedly has eyes and ears at Barcelona and it is therefore not much of a stretch of the imagination to think that he has connections with the Guardiola camp too.

Andy is without doubt the most connected English journalist in Barcelona. He's also a die hard red. If even he's admitting Guardiola is nailed on to City you might as well release the gifs.
