@PhilipHarmeling Sane to City: Fixed basic fee of about €37M euros will be paid in several installments. The balance flows through low-risk bonus agreements.

@CitySi78 @JosMCFC Yes! It's done

My point is if we were buying Pogba they would be adding his transfer fee, his agents fee, his signing on fee, his image rights and his wages and claiming we were spending £250m
They're already doing that. They're even changing the currency from £ to € to make the fee look even bigger. It's not something that just happens to City, you see it whenever a big club with a bit of cash buys a popular player.

So they are listing Pogba at 250 mil then ?

Last time I looked it said 100, but clarified that it's actually 86 & City would have paid it, but he snubbed us.

Why would the Pogba fee come to £250m? It'll come to £180m at most, and that's over the next five years. The press have sensationalised the fee because it'll be the biggest transfer in world footballing history, the press are naturally excited and they're doing what they do every time: deliberately ignoring the fact that Juventus will pay some of the tax, that the wages come later and that United will have earned the transfer fee back by the time the coming season is over.

It's sensationalism and it happens everywhere, not just to City.

And to be fair, Pogba didn't turn us down out of loyalty to United like many have assumed. He said that we approached him far too late in the window for him to want to make such a radical change so close to the start of the season, the press have at least included those quotes in the articles.
