Leroy Sané

Yeah interesting point. Makes me think how a young hugely talented player with great skill like Foden doesn’t seem to be encouraged to play centrally and try and get on the ball around the edge of the box to make things happen. Instead there seems a fear he might lose the ball and is played more often wide left to basically graft. Also a team like England so desperately lacking a player for years who’d receive the ball in tight spaces and happily carry it forwards. Finally have one in Grealish and until very recently it seemed the manager was doing everything to not include him in the starting 11.
I said the same thing, Can't really think of a player other than Grealish that travels with the ball trying to skip past a few players, I hope he doesn't change his game it's rare it happens now unfortunately.

If it’s any consolation, he’s taking pelters from Bayern fans on Twitter for his performance tonight. Fair to say they’ve been underwhelmed so far.

He had a phenomenal period with us but after injury he was simply not as effective, whatever the reason. It remains to be seen what he will achieve and he gave us some truly wonderful moments but he did not want to stay. I support the players who are here, not those who have left, even though we will never forget some of those who have gone.

There was some quiet periods for him at city for sure, but the second half of 16/17, the full 17/18 and 2/3rds of 18/19 he was absolutely brilliant

Thinking back to that KDB free kick yday towards the end. Keeper stood on his left, and kdv shot there. If sane was standing over it. Keeper would be fucked, and goal.

Not surprised that he isn’t meeting expectations told my Bayern supporting boss that Sané was made the player he was by Pep’s system and he wasn’t has good as an individual as people thought Of course there’s still time considering his injury but I stand by my prediction

I think he only played one game after his injury? So you’re right he wasn’t as effective

Think it’s easy to look back and only remember the good things sane brought to us as a side. There were plenty of games where he would be pretty anonymous, the key game after the United win away to Burnley springs to mind where he spent most of the match sulking.
