Would you have Sane back?

Really? Showed up in big moments never thought he lacked heart.
Some players with great ability turn it on just about enough times that they get good contracts throughout their career. The true greats want to be the best they can all the time. Football is no different to other professions. Some lack ability some lack motivation then the ones who stand out have both.

Some are great and know it, some are never great enough in their own eyes

Don’t disagree with that post but in all honesty I never felt Leroy let us down. He delivered in the biggest games for me and that’s what the best players do not look great against the average sides when there’s less pressure.

I don’t watch the Bundesliga because I’d rather watch paint dry but looking at Bayern’s stats you can see that Gnabry has outperformed him in terms of G/A and Coman achieved similar G/A stats having made significantly less appearances.

Stats don’t paint the full picture but he hasn’t exactly set the world alight. Maybe with Lewandowski and Gnabry leaving he can step up.

I don't want to say too much on this subject, but I would note Guardiola has changed, as a character, in the last few years.

Gone, it seems, is the intensity that burned him out at other clubs. I think Guardiola, of today, would handle Sané differently.

An intense Guardiola and a young confused Sané (with the pressure of world potential, much advice from family and national threats on his plate) was a powder keg/ bad mix. I can't recall Guardiola manhandling his players in recent times as he did with Sané back then.

Both are older now and there's no hate, as far as I know, between them.

I wouldn't be surprised if it happened.
