He left. No 2nd chances now the new girl didnt work out. Bye.
Interesting point you make about the build up suiting him at City. I have a feeling there may be a general theme here that if you are struggling in a Pep system designed to get the best out of everybody you're unlikely to look better elsewhere but time will tell.At that time Leroy functioned very well in a special role in your team - but never functioned in a role for Germany in all of the tries. And he had many chances in the 2 years before. It might have had to do with Kroos' role as a ball magnet that mainly played as an 8 on the left side for Germany - your build up at City was just different for him than the game play for Germany. And he was not that great or superstar that you build a team to let him shine.
Fast.Yes but never thought he was THAT tricky or skilful.Unfortunately he wasn’t always a brilliant player. He seemed to choose when he could be arsed. Admittedly on his day he was brilliant, fast, tricky and could finish. He didn’t seem to like when Pep told him how and where to play, this affected the game time pep gave him. This in my opinion is why he ended up leaving.
Now back to that tattoo only a narcissist would have a tattoo of themselves put on their back.
I still don't know how this Sane "attitude problem" backstory was manufactured! It's like some posters just decided to create a Hollywood style villain "origin" story just so they can conveniently stick the bad guy tag on him.
He’s hardly kicked on, has he?Because he dared to leave us to go back to his country playing for the dominant club - it must mean there was something wrong with him!!
It’s bollocks IMO.
He’s hardly kicked on, has he?
Scored 7 league goals last season and 7 assists.I always think of it like this - if he hadn’t been a City player in the past and we were linked to him now, what would the reaction be?
I bet we’d be absolutely buzzing!
And call Trent as the commenters say a **** for the knee injury just to cover all bases surely?Scored 7 league goals last season and 7 assists.
6 and 9 the year before.
I wouldn’t be buzzing. I’d be asking why Bayern want rid of him and whether his knee has or will ever fully recover.
Nope. Completely underwhelmedI always think of it like this - if he hadn’t been a City player in the past and we were linked to him now, what would the reaction be?
I bet we’d be absolutely buzzing!
