Leroy Sané

Nah not right, when he was in the team he is the only player that was sublime running with the ball barring Yaya. Scared most teams. Think I still miss him after he left. Raheem meh we’ll get a replacement.
Fair enough, but to me, when he arrived his clips showed him to be a kick it past the player and run merchant, just like Walcott. Nothing during his time with us changed that opinion. I did quite like his free kicks but we have that covered. Don't get me wrong, i did like him. I just thought he was over rated.

I thought he was a quality and an exciting player for us. Injury against Liverpool in the charity shield didn’t help. Could tell something was not right with his sulking near the end.
I kind of liken it to a an ex girlfriend binning you off and then for some reason wanting to meet back up again. You just can’t go back now out of stubbornness.
(In terms of the gf however maybe if she had a boob job or the parents had died & left her their estate - you could possibly reconsider)

So much derision for Sterling and so much idolisation of Pep. Which of the two did he prefer in the biggest games?

Sané had more raw talent than Sterling but Sterling forced himself to the front of the queue. That says it all for me. I wouldn't have him back.

Sane seems more trouble than he is currently worth. Just like Sterling both lacks that consistency to make the transition from very good players to world class.

His dribbling ability was fantastic. Check out his run v Newcastle to set up Kun for one. He had far more to his game than just kick it past and run.
For us older fans that was Mark Chamberlain

He was absolutely class for us end of. Would I start him over Foden? Fucking no chance.

He is proof of the fact that leaving City is a step down for any footballer. Think the Bayern fans have all but given up on him - Pep, KDB and to a lesser degree Delph and Zinchenko made him what he was.
