Has an air of confidence about him now & also the workrate has gone up considerably from his early peformances, when he was a bit half arsed.

If we had started & played through the season with him, GJ & Vinny, 100% fit, I don't think we would be behind Chelsea now.

If we can just find some world class defenders, the future, with these lads plus the academy kids, looks absolutely awesome.

And there is a thread slating Txiki for not finding players.

Totally agree, all eyes were on Kompany and Jesus but Sane was absolute class. You can see Jesus and Sane completely destroying teams together, they were definitely on the same level. Jesus' workrate was was contagious. Sane was sprinting from one side of the pitch to the other, Sterling was pressing, Delph was pressing. What Jesus did that I noticed an instant reaction to, was when pressing, he was looking at his teammates and gesticulating to get them to press as well. The Silva, De Bruyne, Yaya combo can’t/wont do that for 90 minutes. With Delph in there we had someone not only willing to, but also getting back as soon as the ball was lost. As you say, there’s been a lot of criticism of Txiki and Delph is definitely not a world class midfielder, but in Silva, De Bruyne and Yaya we have three world class players and to get the best out of them and the team Delph was a great addition on his first start in donkeys.

I’m hoping that Jesus continues to inspire and motivate the rest of the team. It’s exactly what a few have been talking about in reference to younger players. Get one in there and they lift the crowd, they have hunger to chase for every ball and they inspire others to do so too. That lifts the team to a higher level and as a team we have lacked that intensity at times. We don’t go to Real Madrid in the second leg of a CL semi-final with Jesus on the pitch and roll over the way we did last season that’s for sure. If Sterling can catch some of his confidence then Sane, Sterling, Jesus will be some frightening proposition for opposing teams. Sane was class, seems to be able to run full pelt with the ball stuck to his feet. The future.

Agree Mate
Must say I was put off a bit at first as he did seem very lethargic, particularly in his cameo and then LC start at Old Trafford, weird place to be seemingly lazy
He just literally breezes past players though, I have never seen anyone fly past Walker so many times and he takes 3/4 players out of the game with a single touch
The run against chelsea where he literally pushed the ball forward 10 yards and he took out their entire midfield was madness

He has fast become my favourite player to see play simply because he gets arses off seats when he is at full pelt

I dont want anything more from this season now than to bed Peps plans in deeper and give sane, jesus and raheem game time together.. frightening

Agree with this. For me new fullbacks would instantly transform this side. That front three is absolutely tantalising.

Pundits keep on saying that our squad is in need of serious surgery, Man City let Pep down by not having the defense sorted out etc, major surgery required, yada yada. But I'm in full agreement with the above statement, younger, skilled, athletic (pace) is all we need to turn into an absolutely menacing force. It will transform the central defense and make this team a killer both in the league and in europe.

The touch you're talking about where he took out the 3 or 4 players with one touch reminded me of Alexandre Pato vs. Barcelona -

It's that "If I knock this behind you, there's fuck all you can do to stop me", as well as the graceful, balanced style of running.
