Leroy Sane - 2016/2017 performances

Been saying since the summer, we have got our own Gareth Bale starting kit. I was most excited about his signing this past summer. But it was really disappointing early in the season that everybody was writing him off already, you don't have to go back too many pages to see that in this thread. Lots of people saying he was 'clueless' and 'scared' when he has the ball. Thought we had learned our lesson from Sterling to not write our young players that early.

The Chelsea game was the first time I thought 'shit, this kid plays just like Bale', mad how many have made that comparison, amazing ability at such a young age.

yes, I noticed that one. It was over on the right touchline (looking at it from SS) Otamendi completely sold himself, didn't he? We could have been in serious trouble. Sane zoomed in from seemingly out of nowhere, and got us out of jail.
 
Should start more often. Electrifying player. Pace on the both sides is critical and immediately makes us more direct.

Already delivering in big games. Scary the potential he has.
 
Him and Gabriel look utterly fearless and that - in a squad of players who look nervous and scared of making mistakes - is going to be absolutely pivotal to the rest of our season.

I have never been so confident of two young players at our club becoming truly and indisputably world class players.
