Mesmerising in the first half tonight. Like Carragher said at half time, he reminded him of Giggs at his best.

Unplayable in the first half.

When Mendy's fit it'll be interesting to see him switch onto the right more in games.

Seen some great wingers down the years , and he is up with the best , and he's only 22 years old , looking forward to seeing him play for Germany in the World Cup , that tournament will be the making of him.

Admittedly I haven’t read most of this thread and I’m sure other Blues would think the same....

.... as good as Leroy is playing I feel that he is still at 60-70% of his potential. When he grows up this boy will be a ‘world beater’.
With that sort of pace and with Pep as his coach , he can become a future Ballon D’Or winner , as long as doesn’t get too cocky.

I think next season we'll see a lot more of Sane on the right, with possible new signings and with Mendy back and all. Not necessarily as a starter (although sometimes as a starter) but in the free role we saw our front three play with at United, whereby he'd occasionally found himself out there.

I think the next step other than consistency for him is to develop a real creative knack, which would come with him being in an area where he can come inside onto his left foot.
I reckon it will happen too. We've seen brief glimpses of Sterling upping his game in this manner when he plays centrally so no reason why Sane can't do at least the same.
