Yes but to accommodate not playing him we’re playing Fernandinho, Laporte & Bernardo out of their best positions.
I don’t think Bernardo is more consistent to be fair. Look at Leroy’s stats, his impact in games is incredible. He’s more of a goal threat for sure. I think he is a future Balon d’or winner. Even wobble gob was waxing lyrical about him. I think Bernardo’s best position is in the middle though and currently El Mago still starts there.
Pep thinks Bernardo is out best player currently "The team is Bernardo and 10 others..." and one of the 3 best players in the country.
So that's why Sané is on the bench.

But why can't we play both? Bernardo put in the performance of the season in central midfield against Liverpool. Silva and KDB are both looking a little off the pace. Bernardo would be more of an asset at CM than either of those two at the moment.

Well if you want to demand Pep drops David Silva or Kevin De Bruyne to get Leroy in the side then go for it. Fact is that's Leroy's competiton. KDB is our best player last season/since he arrived; David Silva might well be our best player ever; and Bernardo is Pep's favourite player right now.
It's a bit unfair he doesn't start, but in 6 months time if he's starting every week over Bernardo or Merlin or Sterling that will be unfair as well.

Everyone on post match seems obsessed with just blaming the refs. That’s all we’ll and good but pep’s lineup was flawed and it started with having sane on the bench.

I'm not demanding anything, I'm just saying Sané can play as well Bernardo rather than instead of. I agree KDB was probs our best player last season and Silva might be our best player ever. Neither of them is our best player right now though and I don't think it would be unfair to rest/drop either of them. I fully expect KDB to come back into form eventually though. Personally I think Silva has struggled in some of the higher intensity games this season and I wouldn't start him in those kinds of games in future. He was our only player that was below par against Liverpool at home (though the result meant that was soon forgotten) and I also thought he struggled in the arsenal game when it got a bit hectic in the first half. Could be age catching up with him but I probably wouldn't start him in the handful of games that demand us to play at breakneck speed. He remains an inspirational figure though and will still be an important player between now and the end of next season. Think we should only be playing one of those two at the moment and we'd be more dangerous with Sané in the team.

Zinc should have been lb. Laporte cb. Fern where fern goes. Gundo dropped. D Silva dropped. Bernardo alongside kdb. Sane, aguero, Sterling. I think that’s a better lineup and we’re going to be playing a lot better teams than arsenal and Chelsea, lol.
