Les Miserables.

I tried to watch the movie turned it off after 5 minutes

Honest mate as a theatrical experience its such a different thing - I did enjoy the BBC dramatisation a couple of years back but the musical is a different beast and as ever being there is a visceral and emotional experience - when Eponine died it sounded like so many people were chopping onions or had developed a snotty sniffy cold in the theatre lol.

I took the misses to London to watch Les Mis for her birthday. I am by no means a fan of musicals, but Jesus H it was amazing.

Would go again tomorrow to watch it again. Anyone seen it?
Easily my favourite show.. we’ve seen it many times and also seen the version with Alfie Boe and Matt Lucas (real show and the concert)…

It gets better the more you see it..

The song “empty chairs and empty tables” is epic.. As is “Stars”

I'm not in to musicals but Les Mis is awesome. Worth it for this song. I was hysterics at the actors expressions during this song, superb experience.

At the end of the day is another banger..

It’s a wonderful musical. I’ve seen it a few times both in town and in London at the theatre. I thought the film musical was an excellent version of it too with Anne Hathaway’s version of I Dreamed a Dream, heart-achingly moving. If anyone gets chance to go and see it on stage, I’d recommend it.
