Now admittedly i didn't want him in the first place, i don't rate him. And i think if that was Dunne playing tonight bluemoon would be full of threads slating him. I really so think he played poor. Maybe i just don't like him?

1st half, yes he was awful and i was thinking about coming on here starting a thread titled 'not impressed' but 2nd half he was tremendous, won everything in the air and didnt let anything get past him!

A mixed bag he lost players at time out there in the first half and seemed slow to see what was going around him. Second half he looked better. He will have to prove Hughes was right to buy him for the money he did against better players you dont get away with that.

It took him the first half to figure out the system thats something that comes with game time with your team mates. considering he was in at the deep end he picked it up quickly and we saw the benefit with his second half.

Bizarre.

A light training session and then thrown in against a side who were more than up for it. He hasnt even played a full on practice match with his team mates and you thought he was shit? Second half he was outstanding. A centre back pairing who can run the ball out of defense, pass it out of defense and know when to stick their foot through it and you think that was shit?

You dont care how much training he missed? Well then thats just personal isnt it? He hasnt trained properly since the Arsenal game and you think its irrelevant.

Like I said, bizarre.

Even with my limited understanding of the game I thought Lescott settled down quickly and looked really good in the second half to develop an understanding with the players around him so quickly was good. He kept dropping into the left back position when Bridge pushed up and that allowed Bridge to show us what he could do

Yeah i do, i don't see how it should effect him. Fair enough if he was coming back from an injury or something so he wasn't match fit but he would have had a full pre season under his belt - it was only recently Moyes decided to be a bit of an arsehole with him. I think he had a shocking first half for sure - and because of that i just looked to nitpick at anything he did wrong in the second, so i'll be honest he may well have improved but for certain he was terrible first half and not worth a fraction of the reported £24 million price tag.

I just feel someone people are jumping to his defence as he is new. I'm not slating him for nothing, he did have a very poor start to a game, and he is a premiership footballer so missing the little training he has should not make him play that poor. It's not all to do with how he played as a team - just as a single player him self. Like i said, i never rated him in the first place but that isn't the reason i am slating him.

I'm slating him rightfully because he played shite. If he player better next game or even improves then that will be the comment i have on him then. No i'm not a 12 year old nor would i say i know little about football - he just played very poor first half.
