Lescott goal v Cheslea (offside?)

Lescott was just offside, but Silva was actually onside. On the paused camera, you can clearly see Luiz's right boot that is playing him on.

That's a great spot 6one and it helps that he's wearing bright orange boots. I've copied a blown up image into word and drawn a line parallel with the penalty line but a) the penalty line is not sharp enough to get a good enough edge and b) the area around Silva's knee and Luiz's boot is too pixelated.

So much so that I can definitely say the point of Silva's shoulder is onside (which I thought was off before 6one's spot) and it's between Luiz's boot and Silva's knee. It's so close that you have to say it's level or benefit of doubt to attacking side and therefore completely legitimate.

So, anyone with a 3-0 losing bet should be rightly pissed off. To the rest of us we've got the satisfaction that we beat Chelsea well and learned from the previous game.

I will try and sharpen the image.

I really don't see much of an argument, it was offside, there's no point quoting rules and trying to interpret them to suit. If that goal had been allowed against us we'd have put it in amongst the long list of decisions that haven't gone our way this year but have been ignored. The good thing is it doesn't matter cos we murdered them anyway.

lescott was on side but the majority of the media failed to even mention the goal , they concentrated on nasri who was also level , therefore the forward gets the benefit , but as moaninho is now the new managerial god , our arse licking newspapers will pander to his every whim and hang on to every word , its pity for all his brilliance , he will win fcuk all this season.

Correct. His boot was visible in Silva's armpit.
