have to disagree. he's put himself in a position where *he* looks a bit dim, or stubborn, or hysterical, regardless of his CV. he could have valiantly resisted being "bullied with money" *without* drawing a line in that sand that will either make him look like a complete fool when he sells Lescott or a stubbon fool who is keeping an unhappy player whom he will have to sell at a cut rate later on. either outcome, *without* the histrionics, would have put him in a far better position than the corner he's painted himself into.

awesome manager? maybe. he's got a pretty good resume, no doubt. but he needs to get back on his meds.
