It makes me laugh the Everton fans comming on here with 100 posts on another fans forum. How they can say they have a decent side and are a big club is beyond me. They cant even sign a championship player with a season under his belt.

True mate - they even got beat to the signing of Lorik Cana... by fucking Sunderland!!!

Everton were ' never ' in for Cana .
All paper trash .

You have to laugh though with Bruce leading the way for Valencia to go to United knowing full well he was leaving for Sunderland lol . Weaken the opposition before you go ?

This is an honest accessment, then we have to start going into the fact that Saha - career finished always injured, Yakubu and Arteta comming back from career threatening injuries, Cahill has injury problems, Jagielka out for season, Vaughan has serious injury problems, Pienaar stalling on a new contract etc etc etc.....

Everton are actualy quite fragile and a very average workman like team when it comes down to it !

They rely on destroy football, good organisation and a very good manager. Their is no doubt the collective is much better than the sum of its parts but its a pretty average looking squad when you look at it in detail.

Jagielka is not better than Onuoha. I really have to disagree with that. Why do you think Everton want him ? He's better than Jagielka and he is the next John Terry. (Captain of England)

Well yes I tend to agree but you have to give them one point otherwise it gets embarassing ! Also he wont be fit to play before March at the earliest as well we know. Will probably play no part in their season at all.

In any event players are never the same when they have done their cruciate. He wont be the player he was and he never had Nedums size strength and pace in any event even before the injury.

The point is if you laid out our 2 squads to neutral footy fans that understand the game they would come up with pretty similar analysis I feel.

I mean on paper its a complete non contest.

Everton reject 2nd bid.

Second Lescott Bid Rejected
by Matthew Gamble | Thursday 30 July 2009, 01:06
056Everton have rejected Manchester City's latest offer of £18m for Joleon Lescott.

City contacted the Club with an increased bid for the central defender but the Blues have turned down the offer.

Earlier this summer, the Eastlands club had a bid of £15m rejected, with David Moyes declaring that no player will leave Everton this summer without his approval.

Lescott is currently in the USA with the rest of the Everton squad.

A Club statement read: "Everton Football Club can confirm it has received an offer of £18m for Joleon Lescott from Manchester City and that offer has been rejected outright."

Everton signed Lescott from Wolves in 2006 and the player has gone on to become a regular in both the Blues' starting XI and the England national squad

Are you for real m8 ?
And please show me where Everton want him . Again paper trash .

Its to be expected and in all the papers. The Times are saying they want £30 million like Coke head went for.

We should just go and get Hangerland and or Upson. Mexes and Bruno Alves are other options. Really we just need to get the team settled and ready for the season now time is running out. Sporting will be much more receptive they need the money and we let them have Caicedo on loan.

At the end of the day we have destabalised Everton anyway, the players head is turned and he wants to come, if he hasnt got the balls to go public and demand a move, his loss we should move on to other targets.

If they dont sell him Everton will have to go with what they have and looking at their current squad its not enough to compete in europe and the top 6 of the prem.

Hes not worth £30 million and I would be loath to give them that much money even though Wolves have a sell on clause of 15%.

Really we should not have shown Everton charity and pity with the Jo loan deal.

Everton clearly wanted nedum and or Richards as part of the Lescott deal, not that they would have let them go or they would ever taken such a huge step down.
