Sounds like they are trying to cover something up, like a transfer request. It keeps the price up.
I have to agree I think you have finally got your man....not good....Everton fans will not be happy at all especially if they are lieing!...but myself I think Lescott maybe faking the injury....through words from his agent to keep fit!
Bloody hell mate, give him the benefit of the doubt at least. How are you going to feel if he has an injury AND comes out with a statement pledging his undying loyalty to the Toffee's. Alright I know its unlikely, but would'nt it be refreshing. Even if it meant we did'nt get our man.
Bill Kenwright strikes me as an extremely decent guy who has had the good fortune to be talented enough to earn sufficient money to enable him to buy into the football club he loves. Not for self serving reasons or publicity, but for the love of the club.
Unfortunately for Bill he does'nt have the Mega bucks needed to take the club 'up' the next step. For this shortcoming he will increasingly be vilified by some Evertonians until he is hounded out of the club. Probaly to lose any further een as a fan.
This is not a problem peculiar to Everton fans, it has been enacted countless times before and will be again. We football fans seem to believe anyone in control of our clubs, other than ourselves, will eventually become a tyrant. Daft but true.
