Mail - Lescott deal will be completed in next 36 hours. City had given up over the weekend (after Kenwright call the Independent refers to ?) but were given "fresh encouragement" on Monday

Independent - City pessimistic about Lescott deal after Kenwright spoke to Cook on Friday. WH want £13m + add ons for Upson. This is "well above" Cooks valuation, now looking at Distin

Express - WH want £15m, City offered£10m, now looking at Distin

Sun - WH want £15m, City offered £10m, now looking at Distin, City have not given up on Lescott

Guardian - WH want £15m, City offer £12m plus add ons, Upson keen on move

I hope we dont buy Distin. Its not the whole kissing the badge thing, its just what will our back four gain by bringing him in really? It seems a backwards step imo. Plan C, just the next best premiership cb in the queue that is a possible option.
Would it be so bad to look at Europe for 1 new recruit if we cant get Lescott?
