should have gone for Carvalho or Cahill (before he signed new contract)

not a fan of Toure or Distin

agree - must be someone better and much cheaper on the continent

I hope we dont buy Distin. Its not the whole kissing the badge thing, its just what will our back four gain by bringing him in really? It seems a backwards step imo. Plan C, just the next best premiership cb in the queue that is a possible option.
Would it be so bad to look at Europe for 1 new recruit if we cant get Lescott?
errr.......

I'm sure they will.

If he were to sign do you think it acceptable to go straight into the team against Blackburn say if he only signed on Thursday? I would be happier with a few good training sessions with the team under his belt.

If Lescott joins, he plays immediately. He's not swapping the Everton first team for the Man City bench!

i think he could handle being thrown in straight away but it would obviously be benefecial for him to signed asap.sign today(fingers crossed!!) then england duty then straight back to us for a couple of training sessions.either way though when a player costs £22-25 million he should be able to cope with being thrown in at the deep end.
