i dont even know why im reacting to you but here goes;

having money doesnt make you play well, its how you spend it!

living on false dreams, you say? what dreams would they be? no one thinks we will win the league this year, i even think it'll take at least 2/3 seasons before we even begin to compete for top spot. Yes you might have finished fifth for so many season but have you not noticed something... thats not improving! Obviously i would love city to finish 5th but then i'd want us to push on and keep aiming higher which is what the general outlook is now

yes we did have robinho and believe it or not he was fourth highest goalscorer in the league in his very first season in a new league, quite impressive even if i do say so myself!

As for rejects, hahaha Tevez, Adebayor, Toure, Barry, SWP, De Jong, Given, Kompany, Zabaleta, RSC would all walk into your team and if they're rejects i can't wait to see what our "big" signings will be like! Also this idea coming from a fan whose team who need one of our "rejects", have a rag reject, Louis haha, in your side and are in talks to sign Gary O'neil! i really wouldn't slag off a team who (on paper at least) have a far superior squad to your own.

yep i'll be happy to be in Europe next season thank you very much ; )

Where's Superman?

why is he a new signing?,,,lol

The article on Everton's web-site doesn't say when Lescott submitted the formal transfer request. Furthermore why are they releasing this information?

They could just keep it in house - unless they are trying to keep the transfer alive, and eke out the highest possible price whilst keeping Everton's fans onside. What do EFC gain by making news of Lecsott's transfer request public knowledge? They could have quite easily communicated this privately to the player and MCFC.

maybe they are just being open and honest, but if I were truly intent on keeping the player, I'd keep it quiet and in-house. There must come a point when EFC decide that the money they would receive makes the sale of Lescott attractive to EFC. If we can buy Upson, why can't EFC buy him, sell us Lescott, and buy some other players in the remaining period of the transfer window?

I can't be doing with this 'you've got no history' argument. I think Gary James might disagree. History isn't necessarily winning trophies; 28,000 average in the third tier, is that not a piece of history? Paul Dickov's fateful goal - should we write that out? If you're not supposed to challenge for trophies because you're not one of the most historically successful club (even though I believe we're the 8th most successful English club?) then the logic is that we should all just stop playing and watch Liverpool versus the rags every week. It's a pathetic, straw-clutching bitter argument.
fuckin spot on, thats the exact same argument i bring up when dickheads mention weve got no history........ good post my friend

It's a ludicrous argument advanced by the Everton fan anyway, and it makes me cringe. We've won trophies and been at the top in my lifetime, but even if we hadn't, why would that mean we'd no history? What about supporters of clubs like (at random) Bristol City or Notts County; or fans of non-league sides? Course they've got a history, and a proud one. It's the attitude of an arrogant person and a tosser to argue otherwise and shows him up completely.

good point

That Everton forum is funny. You should see some of the stuff the scum on there are saying. Anyway :

arsenal to bid 15 million + senderos for lescott. rather that than him go to city.

I'd love that! Much rather see him at Arsenal than City.

There you go more confirmation. No ambition they just cant accept we are and always have been a much bigger side.

They are not happy Lescotts agent has said he is going on strike if the deal does not happen.

good point

And perhaps there's a power struggle going on between Moyes and the money men at Everton? Kenwright wants the 'City premium' on a fair price (£10m imo) and he's trying to push it through against Gollum's wishes, hence the publicity; I'd like to think so, anyway!
