It was replaced by a dose of realism and a recognition that we will have to pay over the odds until we' can establish ourselves as a Sky Four side, playing in the CL. The Chelski chavs went from good to great but they never made any secret of the fact that they were paying over the odds for players in order to achieve this quickly. It was practically a club policy. And I don't totally buy the argument that Chelski had a much better team prior to Abromovich's arrival at Stamford Bridge. Their aim was to close the gap between themselves and the likes of United over an extremely short period of time and it was done by paying over the odds for players.
 
Two or three of the papers last night said City wouldn't go back in unless Lescott started agitating for a move. So maybe this is what's happened.

Talk Shite. If you turn it on now, they' are still having a pre season phone-in so I imagine they'll say it again. They also said they expected to sign Toure in the next 24 hours. The presenters seemed confident that it was all official.

The trouble with SSN and Talk Shite is that they present rumours and conjecture as facts, without making it clear where they're getting their info. I'm sure they said they got it from City but they haven't mentioned it since.

SSare a joke, how the fuck can 'City are to make improved bid for Joleon Lescott in next 24hrs' be breaking news, everybody knew we were going back for him!!!!!

I was told this afternoon that Toure was almost done and that Lescott had put in a transfer request and would be here very soon. Also that Bojinov to Parma and Elano possibly sold soon. There's a few people on here that will confirm this if anyone thinks its BS.

Also I did pass on this info almost seven weeks ago now and only Eto'o for reasons now known didn't come to fruition as well as breakng the news about Adebayor.

where did you here Elano off to? I assume Nedum is NOT part of any lescott deal?
 
hopefully the Bojinov move will be a season long move to Palma, still think he could do a job for us given time.
