Lescott Or Nastasic Alongside Kompany At United?

I think I might be tempted to make sure Vincent is there to captain us through the semi. So Nasti and Joleon for me.

Vinny needs more game time, so I'd play him against the scum. I'd also play Lescott and save Nasty for the semi to partner Vinny. Any injuries then we can always call on Francoise.

Lescott for me, he had a handle on Rooney in both league derbies last season and has done well when he's come up against van Persie. He's our best defender at dealing with all types of crosses which make up 90% of United's attacking strategy. Nastasic has had a brilliant season but Lescott is the man for the job.

Thought Lescott had a good game yesterday. He's also played well for England recently. In my opinion he's certainly made it a difficult choice for Bobby as to which of the two should play alongside Kompany at United.

ATM I'd go for Lescott due to his current form. He's more dominant in the air as well. United will do their usual tactic of crossing the ball in from the wings or from the edge of the 18 yard area for Rooney & Co in and around the 6 yard box.

difficult choice, both very good players, always a chance of a big mistake in lescot, nastasic is class but is only 19 he will be here for a long time

I would play Nastasic, but you wont get to many complaints from me if the maneger chooses Lescott, both are very good defenders.

both ???? three at the back, it could work if all three of them are fit. them three at centre back zaba and clchy wing backs, with yaya barry and garcia, then aguero and tevez upfront. its got enough quality to beat the rags imo

I'd play Lescott.

He's played in the Premier for 10 years and has faced Rooney, Van Persie, etc numerous times. He's better in the air and United's threat often comes from out wide. He also has a good rapport with Kompany. Occasionally I think Kompany spends periods of the game with one eye on Nastasic which takes something away from his own game.

Having said that, playing Nastasic wouldn't worry me. He's going to be a class act.
