Depends a little on who they play, but I would say Lescott gets the nod from me, just. And that's only down to experience.
I imagine they will go with van Persie, Welbeck or Young and Rooney as a forwrad three, dropping back to a five when we have the ball. If Kompany and Clichy play then less of an issue speed-wise, but eezz important for me that we play Milner to cover on the right.
Midfield - Yaya of course, Barry and Garcia though? That allows us to play just one forward and push Yaya up, and from what I have seen they don't like big strong forwards. Or play Yaya with Javi or Barry and two forwards? Wide has to be Jimmy and David.
Only makes sense to play there if we have two of them pressing the ball carrier - Cleverley, Kagawa, Carrick, whoever is looking for the ball forward. Otherwise they will switch it around and we will be sat there pushing them wide and getting pushed out of shape. If Mancini doesn't want to play three, he has to bet on Milner and Silva putting in a shift out wide to both crate and defend.
They will likely play a centre pairing of Carrick with Zidane's more skilful, more handsome brother, so we need to boss them two in particular out of the game. For which we woudl be helped by a fair ref and not one eager to blow on his whistle in front of the Old Trafford crowd. I feel they will try to stretch us and play two wide players, two of Young, Valencia, Nani, possibly one of the forwards going wide too, like Welbeck. They will know we are pretty tough to cut through centrally. So for me that pushes towards a 4-4-1-1 - I think Tevez will be up for this and either him or Segio running at them will be enough to make them worry. Aguero's pace may be key too, can see Evra and t'other fulll back being asked to give options wide when they have possession, so we shouldn't be afraid to hit it long diagonally to Aguero for a quick break - which is where JL can be excused a punt or two, if he sets up a counter :)
