lescott - part of the Jo agreement

Be very happy with that if true.

Could see Jo turning out to be a very good premiership striker there though, even if it's unlikely he'll become the same staying here at the moment. So hopefully it's either a loan or there's a buy back clause.

Is it on any forums? Can you stick a link up if so?

I hope we don't give them an option to buy. It leaves us short on strikers for the Uefa though.

It may well be on some forums, led to believe it had been raised by a couple of callers on one of the local radio phone-ins prior to the Liverpool v Chelsea kick-off.

I have pals at Anfield game who have simply belled me to say Liverpool fans are creasing up and, like us, hoping it is true.

Incidentally, they only got to hear about it because they sit near press box (make of that what you will)

Nice one Tolmie. Appreciate that. Laugh my tits off as well if it is true!

Good move all round for both parties, they get a striker, Jo gets some experience and hopefully without the booing, we get a cracking center back and hopefullly a good striker back at the end of the season.

Thats making an assumption that Moyes is thick ! what would we give to be in Everton's position in the league right now ? If Lescott was to leave then how much would they want ? Jo cost £18m , Jo.leon has scored more goals this season , and last ! Not to forget Everton are skint and Moyes is a Jock , He'll squeeze every last penny he can

I'd be happy to let Jo go on loan to Everton if we can get Lescott in before deadline day. Back line for me would then be Given-Bridge-Lescott-Kompany-Zabaleta/Richards (Richards needs to prove he is worth a place in the first 11 at the minute, poor run of form, although he looks far more comfortable at RB than CB) think we definatly need a big strong striker to give us more options. If between now and tomorrow we end up with RSC,Given and Lescott i'd say its been a succesful transfer window.

Posted earlier but i believe Dunne prob going back to everton, (Jo on loan as a sweetner, to help their striker crisis, and give Jo some much needed expereince) and lescott onway to our beloved CITY.

Everyone Wins!

But i guess we'll all just have to wait till tomorrow.

Hate to rain on your parade guys but the rumour is rubbish. EFC are in talks with City over Jo but Lescott is not part of any deal. That is direct from the press officer at EFC, Ian Ross. Don't believe me then you can e-mail the club yourself. I know it is very exciting having all the money in the world to throw around but it should be obvious to you all that a club with only 3 centre halves in the first team squad is not about to sell one of them with only a day or so to go in the transfer window when they are in strong position to push on and qualify for Europe (you can only dream, money isn't everything!). I'm not saying you may not get him in the summer if you throw more cash about (and make no mistake, £12m won't get it done as Lescott is a FAR better player than Wayne Bridge!), but you can forget about anything happening now.

A mate of mine who's a toffee's season ticket holder, recks its a non-starter. He say's both Kenwright & Moyes have stated no-one will leave in January.

Thanks for the info

I'm glad, it would have been another over-priced transfer fee and another decent player on ridiculous wages
