We will do a comparison between each player for their position for us and city

Heres what i think is our strongest team and ide apreciate it if somone can post your strongest team so we can compare

Howard
Hibbert
Jags
Lescott
Baines
Arteta
Fellaini
Neville (dm)
Pienaar
Cahill
Yakubu

Given
Zabaleta
Kompany
Bridge
Richards
De Jong
Ireland
Wright Phillips
Petrov
Robinho
Bellamy.

Hopefully the striker will be Santa Cruz come tomorrow.

Depth wise we have

Hart, Sturridge, Elano, Dunne, Onouha.

I think we have a better team and squad than you. We just need to get them all playing as a unit.

Good to see an Everton fan willing to come on for a rational debate.

From those two line-ups, there's not that many from the Everton team better than ours. Lescott, Arteta, Caheill and Fellaini probably. But that's just on paper. There's no doubt Everton are a better team than us at present, anyone who disagrees is being dishonest. League tables don't lie, particularly over 3 seasons.

What Everton have is a team spirit, and the benefit of continuity with the manager, something we should learn from.
yeah... but ireland is better than fellani

Different players, but yeah I rate Ireland more highly than Fellaini. It was a bit misleading to put the two up against each other as they're different players. Would still have Fellaini in our squad though, just not ahead of Ireland.

Howard vs Given = Given
Zabelete vs hibbert = hibbert
Kompany vs lescott = lescott
Richards vs jags = jags
SWP vs arteta = arteta
De Jong vs neville = de jong
Ireland vs fellaini = fellaini
Petrov vs pienaar = pienaar (dont rate petrov at all tbh)
Robinho vs Yak = Robbihno
Cahill vs bellamy = Cahill

Fair enough mate.

I really rate that Fellaini. However i would rather have Zabaleta and Kompany in my team than Lescott and Hibbert. I also really do not rate that Pienaar so i would have petrov in over him any day of the week. I suppose its what you want from your team.

Petrov is an out an out winger who will hug the wing all day. Pienaar is not that type of player.

For a long time now we've been crying out for an out and out winger like your petrovs or downings. But i feel that our left side is really strong which you will have seen against UTD. If it was the other way round and he was a right sided player he'd be the first name on our team sheet.

And what ive seen of him against us he was in Hibberts pocket all day.

The problem we had last season was the teams basically knew our threat = Petrov and Elano, nullify them, and we won't score. That meant against any team that was competent at shutting a player down, we weren't going to score (considering our set-pieces were so bad). So in many matches, expecially against the likes of Everton, Petrov would get totally shut out, if any team gave him a bit of space he could destroy them though.

Could any long term (at least 10 years) City fans , honestly say that a few years ago , pre Taksin , you were envious of the spending power of Man Ure ? I'm asking this because Liverpools record in the transfer Market has been crap , only 1 real success , Torres , in spending well over £100m by Beneathus , and virtually the same by Houllier , If David Moyes had half of that to invest I would be amazed if we were not chaiienging Utd and Chelski , the only 2 players he's been allowed to spend a reasonable amount on is Yakubu , 21 goals last season and Screech , a bargain at £15m , So I trust moyes' judgement 100% , the big advantage he has over most bosses is he has total control , finances allowing , Kenwright's savng grace ,

Yeh he was. It baffled alot of people to be honest because no offense, the general consensus is that Hibbert is a bit shit. However he fits into your team spirit and style of play.

Do you genuinely believe you will be able to maintain your position over the next couple of years?
All banter aside we have a very good team now, which should only get better once it gels and a seemingly bottom less pit of cash as well as a great youth setup. We will catch you. Villa have over taken you. I think you could start to slide if you dont get the investment from somewhere.

Completely agree with our transfers n all that, and Moyes could do wonders with that amount of money (he looks at the players attitude aswell as the skill!) but not sure that id say Fellaini was a 'Bargain' :P
