Lescott to Newcastle United(?)

For fucks sake, will all the doubters please watch todays OS with Bobby claiming on at least two occasions,no fucker will be leaving in January.
The only way people will be allowed to leave if a subsequent player comes in to fill that void and this IMO,but not the first paragraph.

SAF clearly lied last season and Robberto is not the most honest geezer either. I personally believe nothing said by any football manager on the subject of possible transfers.

I agree - but this one doesn't make sense - it would leave us really short at the back.
The one thing that does make me think is Lambert in his press conference, acting like he had some encouragement from someone.

We must have given clubs the nod we'll sell if the price is right. Lambert wouldn't have said this if it wasn't so. Maybe there will be an auction and we can get the price up to around £12M
‘He’s a top, top player. He’s not getting a game at Manchester City at the minute,’ said the former Norwich boss, who is looking to plug a hole in his defence following injury to captain Ron Vlaar.

‘As I’ve said before, I will sit with the rest of the staff and see what I can do.

‘But I don’t think you can ever dismiss it any level whenever you are talking about a top player.’

We'd be mad not to take £9-£10m for a 29 year old CB (who will be 30 this summer).

We'd probably have to spend big to get in a first choice CB to replace him but with Vinne, 'new guy', Nasty, Kolo and even with Micah as backup we'd be fine. Just the new guy would need to be top class as a primary partner for Vinnie.

Just seeing lamberts interview on ssn it does look like he has been put on the market to me as he deffo said villa interested in him..

We must be after a player ourselves musnt we to let him go and kolo now free to speak to foreign clubs and micah out till end of feb....

But look how good the guy was on nyd against stoke its a sad way to end breaking up the likes of him and de jong...

But hey we move on....shame though..

Lambert appeared almost 'confident',i think something may well happen if we can find a replacement.

If we got offered anything around £10m for Lescott the club will accept in my opinion, I know Mancini does not want to lose any players but I just think the board will see it as an opportunity for Rekik to be promoted and get some sort of game time. This will be more beneficial to the club than having a defender coming towards the end of his career on the bench stopping an upcoming talent such as Rekik.

£10m for Lescott would be very good business in my opinion, not only would we be getting a good fee for a player aged 30, but It would even the £22m fee down to £12m which if we looked back on it would be good business.

I think Villa would be perfect for Joleon, they need experience and who better from a solid Premier League defender who supports the club.

I see the financial benefits of lowering wages and the impact of the ammortilisation of his value on the books but not the timing. He needs to be replaced but losing him, Toure in January seems like a bad idea when we are battling for the title and FA Cup. I'd be surprised if we let him go at this stage.
