Stop going over the top....I like Kompany but he was out of sorts today, him being rusty I accept. I am not going to say he had a good game when he clearly didn't.

Oh, and you are easily pleased if you think Zabaleta was "fantastic". Bridge and Given were good though.

For fuck sake I'm not the one going over the top, all I'm saying is that Kompany did well considering, and that we kept a clean sheet away from home for the first time in about 8 games which is hardly poor, against a team that has been galvanised by new and relatively rich owners and coming off the back of a win. Its hardly the end of the world.

The back four played well and i think it's safe to say that Given was more than "good".

Joleon did play well today. Kompany was average at best, I'd rather see him play in mid instead of De Jong and Ireland, because there he will defend superbly while also giving an attacking option that De Jong wont and Ireland isnt doing.

I thought Lescott had a very good game as did Bridge. Kompany didn't get everything right but I though for someone who has been out for so long he wasn't bad.

im sorry to disagree with most of the posts on this but i thought lescott had a stinker he never looks composed or under control.
I dont think i have seen anything that makes me think he is any better than Richard Dunne, deof hasnt shown so far why we paid so much for him !!!

Wow! What an original point of view!! Lescott had a good game today, so did Bridge except for a stupid booking. Kompany had a poor game, and I thought Zabaleta played pretty well.
