He is looking like the player we signed from Everton, calm, composed etc.
If anything, I thought he was more prominant today due to the way the strikers stood off him, seemed to put him more on the back foot than the toe to toe with the big frontmen, still strong in the tackle, strong in the block and is a big part in making the defensive unit look comfortable and solid.

he was superb in the second half but a walking disaster in the first.
seriously, did nobody see him fuck up the entire line by playing the WHU forward onside into the box? how much space, right through the middle? Lescott moving towards goal, playing him on at every stage, with his hand in the air?
until that point we were walking it. from that moment fear spread through the team.
his part in the goal has been noted as well.
fair play to him, he was outstanding in the second half, and dealing with adversity like that is very admirable indeed....but how can he possibly be our man of the match?

i just hate it when he lumps it forward for no reason.
he did it 4 times today when he had about 10 seconds on the ball.
i've never seen a footballer look so uncomfortable on the ball in all my life.
