Just imagine we let Lescott go, & the player we replace him with struggles, as happens probably 70% of the time with new central defenders.

Imagine Nastasic has to mark Crouch, with some new bloke, who is a bit nervous, playing next to him, because Vinny gets injured.

What is the likelihood of us dropping behind the rags in those circumstances ?

Does this kind of possibility not give anyone any cause for concern ?

Just fuck him off because we can save on his wages & any geezer we sign will automatically be able to just step in & be as good or better ?

What if they are not as good ?

Very fast to highlight how much he was paid and for how much he might be sold.

Doubt it was included in first sentence when "Berba" was sold.

Lescott should be KEPT, unless we get good money for him and/or he wants to leave AND we have a decent replacement lined up. Maybe Micah will be fit next season and Rekik can step up? However, it would be nice to have AT LEAST one more quality central defender, because they ALWAYS seem to get injured.

What was the combined fee for three of our best players - Komps,Zab and Barry??

Granted, mine were more in regards to those players he desperately wanted, ie Crocky, Lescott, even Bellamy.

Bellamy was a fantastic signing,a shame Bobby couldnt handle him.

Don't begrudge him a move. Cost way too much, but served the club well.

Would like to keep Kolo another year as backup. Has done very well this season.

I don`t think we can expect to get too much more for his transfer,as he`ll be 31 in August,but we have certainly not lost the £20M on him,if you put into perspective what we`ve achieved with him in the side.
Unfortunately he isn`t going to prise Nasty out of this position (assuming alls well in the future) so if he leaves, then Joleon will leave with most peoples blessing.
My only concern with him,he always looks as the ball has got a fucking bomb inside it and thats why he just wants rid of it,quicker than any other player I`ve seen.
Still a great pro and someone I`ll always admire.

As central to the title winning squad as anyone. What price that? We've recouped more than the £20m it is being suggested he will have cost us!

I will be very surprised if he is here next year.

On huge wages that can be better spent. We could buy a CB eg Zouma and still save a minimum of 150k a week. That is what Txiki will look at before his playing ability which quite frankly is so limited its a joke we paid 24m in the first place!
