Blame Hughes, the dick had no valuation sense

What was the combined fee for three of our best players - Komps,Zab and Barry??
How can Hughes be made accountable, surely nobody still believes that team managers conduct the negotiations for players at this level?

Joleans transfer fee was in the region of £20 million and wages probably the same over a 4 or 5 year deal. Do people really think that those levels of negotiations were made between Hughes and Moyes?

It's Ladyman and it's the Fail, ffs! If there's anything to this story then you can be sure it's purely coincidental to the City hating author's real intention of portraying us as gauche, transfer market, vulgarians. Move along, nothing to see here.........
If you think Ladyman is a City hater, you are very much out of touch with the Northern press boys.
Ladyman is one of the trusted juorno by City and if they want something leaking, you can be sure he will be one of the first to know unlike the Custis boys from the Sun

Granted, mine were more in regards to those players he desperately wanted, ie Crocky, Lescott, even Bellamy.

Bellamy was a fantastic signing,a shame Bobby couldnt handle him.

You should change your user name to Manciniout - Save me reading your posts.

Re: Lescott on his way.....

I presume the Mail ran a similar headline when United sold Berbatov?

Re: Lescott on his way.....

Seems to have lost a step in lateral movement. Not good for a CB. He cannot keep players from turning (one of his best attributes last year). I will miss him. But I think he hit his peak last year. It happens.

I will be very surprised if he is here next year.

On huge wages that can be better spent. We could buy a CB eg Zouma and still save a minimum of 150k a week. That is what Txiki will look at before his playing ability which quite frankly is so limited its a joke we paid 24m in the first place!

Here we go, another one criticising JoLo's ability.

Yeah, he's such a limited centre-back, we only won the league for the first time in 44 years with him being one of the most consistent and dependable members of the squad.

He's shocking! Get rid A.S.A.P.
He is a fine defender just has nothing else to his game!

Panics with the ball, when someone passes to him and when he has to pass it!

I am more than happy to see him playing when he does but it does not mask his serious faults that you just can't have in the CL etc.

Beat me to it, but only if they stay up. Think we would get 8mill from that lot. Can see kolo going and no new 1 year deal due to his likely wages demands.

I would guess we'll go for another relatively unknown and a worldy e.g. Hummels, Subotic, bradstuder, Howdes. As we've seen this season when Kompanys out we have a problem and if we are to progress in CL we need one of the above. Defensively wise our wage bill should reduce even with these acquisitions due to bridge going as well.
