City came close to this in an 8-1 win over S****horpe on Boxing Day in 1963. Matt Gray, Jimmy Murray both scored three with Derek Kevan scoring two.Only / last game to have 3 hatrick scorers

I,ll never forget that match..id been going home and away religiously at the Mancini time....i thought i need a break..burnley away ,silly sunday k.o time ,fuck that...i dont fancy it.so i didnt goWhen we beat Burnley 6-1 at their place in 2010 we were 3 up after 7 minutes which was a PL record at the time and probably still is, unless we've broken it ourselves since.
Then sat at a mates watching on sky sports as City tore Burnley to bits with magical football in fhe pouring rain.
Really wished i,d bin there.not one of my best decisions, ho hum.

No history they said.Read an old post from Gary James recently where he mentioned that City have held the highest English attendance at their own club ground since 1924 with a 74,000+ crowd and then broke our own record crowd in 1934 with the 84,569 crowd against Stoke, which still stands.

It twas Brutal rain that day.saved burnley town getting a Monsoon.That 2nd half monsoon stopped us getting double figures that day :-/
