We all remember going mental when Sergio scored against QPR, Ya Ya scored against United, Kompany scored against Utd and every goal we scored when we were not very good.
On Sunday it hit me that we are now waiting for the goal to come and we stand up and clap. Last night at West Brom was the same in the lower section, cant comment on people behind me, I may be wrong.
It reminds me of the response to the winning putt in the Open or the winning Black in the snooker final.
IMO we need to celebrate the goals better before we get labelled cocky and arrogant, saying that, with our strike force we can be.

i just don't know where to start with this one.

It's actually quite beautiful in it's own bizarreness.

How was it Neil Armstrong described the moon? "Magnificent desolation".

The more times i read it, even really slowly, the more confused i get.
Does he want us to go down on our knees and raise a cue over our heads after every goal.

If i have to celebrate every goal the way i did Sergio's i would have been dead by last sunday night.

I think I like the idea of just going absolutely fucking apeshit, hugging everyone, roaring like a bull, falling over seats and beating my chest when we've just gone 4-0 up at home to Norwich from a penalty, and everyone else is just giving a little "Yeeeah" and clapping. When everyone around you looks at you like you're a dick you could just say "Well at least I'm not cocky and arrogant like you".

Not sure if I fully understand what the OP is saying but I did notice there was not an over enthusiastic celebration by the City fans for our three goals if compared to the Villa fans and their three goals last night.
Suppose it's supply and demand.

Might just be down to the fact that the vast majority of our a way fans are middle aged and middle class.......

It's not. It's because we are the most apathetic, non singing, moaning, early-leaving, spoilt, cocky and arrogant tourist JCLs in world football.

Don't you read Bluemoon ;-)

To put matters in perspective, I've seen MLS matches in Seattle, Houston, and my D.C. that have boasted louder atmospheres than recent games at the Etihad. And all without "stand leaders".

Don't want to rile you real Mancs up, just thought I'd share that we Yanks are getting adept at creating plenty of noise during matches.
