Let's hear it for Edin Dzeko

Gone thru all 12 pages of this thread, and no one has mentioned the other member of our title winning striker quartet......

Now he did love winding up the rags ;o) and could do things with the ball (and a box of fireworks too haha) that edin could only dream of.
Certainly miss his tabloid exploits, perhaps if we still had him in the squad then raheem would get a helluva easier ride with the rag tops too

Strangely nobody mentions Dzeko much on that one either...
 
Although I am not convinced edin would be the answer these days a third striker of his style with the work rate pep demands would be a sensible way forward if it’s achieveable in jan/summer. The amount of crosses we make that aren’t attacked by a forward is scary.

Where’s Mike Sheron when you need him?

Walsh and Rosler arrived, and then Kavashvilla scored against the rags.

Then it all went pear shaped and Bradbury was a tosser.

Paul Dickov? Gareth Taylor? Bob Taylor? Tim Brooke Taylor ?

Goater became a hero, and for one brief moment, we assumed that Vuoso was the final piece in the jigsaw

Macken arrived, and then scored the winner at Tottenham.

Fowler? lacked hunger

Anelka? lacked motivation

Wanchope? lacked fitness

Sibierski? lacked hair

Cole and Vassell: yesterday's heroes competing for tomorrow’s trophies.

Samaras: weak

Corradi: wooden

Bianchi: forgotten

Sturridge: injured

Evans: imprisoned

Jo: hopeless

Benjani: clumsy

Adebayor: offside

Caicedo: even more clumsy

Bellamy: aggressive

Tevez: popular



Dzeko: then it all changed.

5-1 v Tottenham ,6-1 v United (2011-12

Crucial goals at Palace, Everton, and at home to Villa (2014)

Always seemed to score against the rags

Oh, and the other goal v QPR

Will never be as popular as Aguero, but…………..

Love how Kolarov, Dzeko and Balotelli still follow City and support us, with only good words about our Club and fans. Always sticking it to the rags as well :)
