Let's see some youth in the return leg!

Whilst I agree with playing the kids I think pep may play a first team and use it as a training session to get the more together.

It's a difficult one to judge.

Part of me wants the same team, just so they are getting more used to the system we are now playing.

The other part wants to make sure we don't get any unnecessary injuries ala Negredo vs. West Ham a couple of years back, plus wanting to see more of Angelino, Nacho and Maffeo.

Got to rest injury prone players, like Sergio, for the next leg while retaining the majority of regulars.

Nacho, Fernando/Delph and Maffeo should all get a run.

hope Pep will not repeat Pellegrini mistakes.
playing in-form Negredo, when City already 6-0 on aggregate against West Ham in FA cup.
get injured himself in 2nd leg game, going downhil from there, and never recover his form.
wish Pep rotate Dinho, Silva, KDB and Aguero, give priority for league games next week.

-------------------- Nacho
--- Sane --- Delph --- Yaya --- Navas
---- Clichy ------ Nando ----- Zaba
---------- Denayer ----- Stones
---------------------- GK

I'm not sure the 1st team would get too much out of the game as a training session. The priority should be to give game time to the fringe players (Delph, Fernando, Kelechi) plus any other players that would benefit from more minutes on the pitch. Then top up with some of the younger players.

Sane and Gundogan? Who else can we drag out of the medical room halfway through their recovery? Quick, someone sign Dave Whelan and his broken leg.

I didn't mean for this match...We're they in the line-up I posted? NEIN. My point is that there is the need for rotation, to allow those available and not currently starting to learn the system too.

No chance. We need games, players getting used to a new system, many players had little or no pre season.

A couple of kids on the bench maybe, but take no risks.
