I'm assuming sput means the level 2'ers who are priced out of retaining their current seat when it becomes a "premier experience".

The answer is like it or lump it.

thats a bit simplistic just to say like it or lump it
level 2er's like myself cannot make a informed judgement as to relocating now as we don't know what the increase for the "premium experience" is going to be.
yes i could just relocate now to a inferior seat in either the 1st or third levels
but only to be told that in fact i could of afforded to stay.
also if they announce a expanded/new stadium in the meantime thats another decision to make to maybe pay the increased premium for the seasons left
of course not relocating now could leave level 2er's with nowhere to go if priced out the season after next

knowing the full facts is essential before liking or lumping it wouldn't you say

You've got me wrong mate, I'm a level 2'er myself, the point is they aren't going to give us the info we require so as I say it's like it or lump it.

Prices haven't been decided on , so its pure speculation to say that they will be doubled. It has been indicated to me that the East Stand could rise by £300+ however that is mitigated by free car parking and free programmes which have a value of over £200.Furthermore facilities will be improved and of course we hope that we have a better team to watch.
I have no desire to pay more but we should remember that we have been paying on the cheap for many years.A mate of mine with a West ham S/T pays £850 for a basic seat in a secondary position. The likes of Arse, spuds etc pay £1000+

who indicated this to you? someone in a official capacity?
a £300 increase is a tantalising amount with the offsets you mention
espcially if a expanded/new stadium was to come in the future

Yes it was someone well known at a high level within the club.He said east stand would always be cheaper than Colin Bell which is going to be £850+ Vat( about £1000 in total) this season.
Would suggest you listen to the Blue Moon podcast with Danny Wilson which gives info on this subject <a class="postlink-local" href="http://www.bluemoon-mcfc.co.uk/Forum/viewtopic.php?f=1&t=173380" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;">viewtopic.php?f=1&t=173380</a>

I think the club are deluded if they think they can up the prices by £300 the season after next - let's be honest we do not have a huge fan base, ehat has set us apart over the last 40 years is the loyalty of our support not the size of it - hence free the 35,000 was about 35,000 people who went week in and week out, where the support did not drop in tier 3 etc - the point being there are not another 40,000 rich fans out there who would come in and buy these tickets, if there were then we would sell the ground out for cup games. The sooner gary cock and his cohorts realise that the FANS are what makes City what it is, and if they are alienated there sinply is no club, however much money we have got. I think what CITY should be doing is trying to understand that we have lost most of an entire generation in Manchester due to the success in trafford and we should be doing more in Manchester's schools - free tickets, player visits etc - let's get that generation interested and at the same time let's not piss off the generation who made us what we are - loyal, decent and BLUE, not rich glory hunters

Now that all the north standers have taken whats left of any decent seat in the ground after being moved.... where on earth are the level 2 guys gonna go next season ?.. these are people who have had the best seats in the house for years and i just cant see them being happy with back row 3rd tier.......?

I'm gonna sit tight and renew for next season and see what the price hike is going to be for 2011/12. Just hope the three of us have somewhere to move to by then!!

You deluded scar eyed twat.
You will end up without a seat at that rate.

are you liking or lumping it then?
and how did to come to like or lump?
as i can't make that call
i would like to stay for obvious reasons, and if i can afford it i will, but until i know how much how do i know

I e-mailed the club last week and asked how can I make a decision if they haven't told me how much a season card will cost for the 2011/2012 season.
I received a reply which said that they would try and answer my question by e-mail last Friday.
Surprise, surprise I haven't received anything yet, although I'm still hopeful they will be in touch before the relocation date of 12th June.
Apparently, the staff in the ticket office were quoting that seats would cost in excess of £1000. Someone on here looked at the cost of a similar package that's already available at City and for this season that was around a grand.
I think though that it's not just the potential doubling in price.
It's the whole matchday experience for the regulars. You build a camaraderie with the people you sit with week to week, but if every game you are surrounded by different corporates, that atmosphere will totally disappear.

I straw polled the people who sit around me and out of the eight I asked, all were going to relocate if the cost is in excess of £800

Exec seats are 850 + vat, that is approx what you will be paying for the "premium experience" however you get a free programme and car park space.

The club will be creating more of these seats so I would hazard a guess there will be a range from about 750+vat through to 1000+vat depending on how near the half way line you want to be.

That is what I am basing my decision upon.

Funnily enough most of my mates want to stay put even at that cost.
