Ten changes never gonna turn out well whichever team does it.
Too many players happy to pass backwards.
No player willing or able to shoot from outside box(miss you Kdb).
I now can see why ake hasn’t been getting in team.
Bobb Lewis sav imho all lightweight and ineffectual.
They kept going on about strong bench . I beg to differ
 
apart from the obvious my biggest disapointment is reinders.
there were times during the game i forgot he was playing
all to happy to make simple 5 yard passes then disappear
its gonna take some doing to get us back where we was a few years ago and i dont think
we can with pep, we need new ideas new players and possibly a new managerial team.
half of those players tonight wouldnt even make our bench 2 years ago.
 
I remembered in the prematch thread everyone asked for rotation? Who deserve more for a rest than Haaland Nunes and Donaruma? And Gvadiol has been quite half-hearted for quite a while.
 
We don’t press the box anymore but play 3 yards back because that’s where Nico plays.
The missing Rodri problem continues.
Little incision as few runs and no one looking to play killer ball its easier to go side or square.
Kovacic would have helped in there tonight and Saturday.
 
I find it very difficult to be both rational and objective about that performance. It highlights so may things that are wrong with the club at the moment:
Firstly. the team selection was yet another massive brain fart from Pep. He seems to be unable to recognise that there are some players who should not be in the squad. He appears to be over-thinking again.
Secondly, for a great coach he has done sweet fa to improve Savinho and Lewis.
Thirdly, whoever is our Director of Recruitment should be fired along with our Set Piece Coach.
Fourthly, we appear to recruit players who appear to have both physical and technical limitations in their games which will never be removed from their games by coaching.
For a Club with it financial resources and facilities we have hit a rocky spell very quickly
 
Trafford - Bottler. Embarrassed himself tonight
Alt Nouri - Shite. Terrible signing
Lewis - Out of his depth. Has gone backwards
Reijnders - Shite x10. The midfield Eliaquim Mangala. Should never play for City again
Bobb - Bobbins. Worse than Savinho.
Savinho - Northern Premier league player at best.
Marmoush - Absolute joke of a footballer. Free transfer fodder.

Pep Guardiola - Arrogant twat. Disrespected Leverkusen, the tournament, abd the paying public. Fucked up on Saturday, fucked up tonight.
 
The truth is we look like we have a bigger squad, but a lot of those players can only play if 85% of the first team are playing.

Maybe next season they'll understand Pep ball, but for now its like watching an OCD's sock draw when we swap out more than 3-5 players.

Its very slow progress, but its progress.
 
the only hope i have from that game is that some of those players have just played there way out of the club.....sometimes performances like that have a silver lining....I can only live in hope

He had the only good 6 months of his career playing in a front two.

We buy him and have played him in every spot but the one he he likes to occupy, a second striker.

P.S he’s nowhere near good enough for us to change our formation for him, making him completely pointless.

Who knows? Lol. I love him and it's been the time of my life but I'm kinda looking forward to the next chapter. He's just passing through, we've got a life sentence.
 
No energy , no fight , no decent tactics, a bunch of headless chickens tonight far too easy to defend against.

Clearly this squad is in transition we shall see in the remainder of the season which ones are good enough to be part of a squad able to challenge for titles.

Based on what I have seen this season to date not many.

There's plenty of very good players. Arsenal bought Eze, who was Spurs bound. The rags bought Mbuemo who is their best player and shits all over Savinho and Bobb, Semenyo is available but we won't be in for him. Just 3 PL proven players who are head and shoulders above some of the players we've bought recently.
