Leverkusen (H) | CL | Post Match Thread

We have not one player who can grab a game by the scruff and turn it around. Not one.
In our prime we had at least 5 in every match day 11.
There is no ingenuity or inspiration.
It's football by numbers and when the wrong type of player is bought the whole team becomes ordinary.
We are just mediocre right now.

I'd love it (Keegan esq:) if we did go for Semenyo, he's x100 times better than Savinho. I agree about Eze even the other ex Palace player who went to Bayern, I thought he was a decent player too. But let's be honest, how many really want to come to us?
I think they'd have come to City.

Nobody is picking Spurs or Utd above City, if we are serious about the player. The only reason Spurs didn't get Eze over the line is because they were trying to take the piss over the fee, then arsenal stepped in.

I have the same feeling about city as I have about my developer clients in the current political arena. After 30+ years in architecture and 50+ years watching city, I can sense there's a recession coming...

I think the biggest concern that I have personally, is I don't feel any kind of feeling towards 90% of our squad

Over the years I've loved the majority of them, whether it be character, ability, desire etc

These lot on the whole are just 'meh' feels like there's a good few that feel like they've made it now they're here, and aren't actually bothered about winning trophies

The whole squad lacks character and mental and physical toughness, these were traits that our squad have had across the patch for the last 10 years, and that's before they showed their ability
That exact thought came into my head in the first half.

I’m also sick to fucking death of all the diving and arms in the air and pretend crying faces at the ref asking for fouls.

No matter what competition, the league Cup against Kiddiminster Harriers anything, no manager has ever made 11 changes. That was utterly disgraceful and a piss take for all the loyal fans.

So from being very comfortably placed in the Champions League a couple of hours ago if we now lose in Madrid next time out things will look a lot, lot more difficult. A two leg play off will loom large. And all because of a classic Pep brain fart against a decent team currently 3rd in the Bundesliga...
Yeah it is weird how he sometimes turns into an absolutely terrible manager at the most random of times. Last year it lasted a month around december. Really doesn't help himself at times
