He wasn't starting at the beginning of the season but he became first choice by November but then got a bad injury.Barely getting time at Brighton, surely just use THB?

They may have no choice in the end. Chelsea's problem is that they have to get 10+ players off their books this coming summer. Quite a few of their new additions, like Cucurella, are on very high wages relative to their value, so there could be very little interest from other clubs, even if Chelsea offer them at fire-sale pricing.Madness if they sell him to accommodate Cucurella at centre back.
Who's going to want Cucurella on his current wages with the way he's playing at the moment? Even offered at a discount, would Cucurella be willing to take a pay cut for a move? Now multiply that by 10. We had Wayne Bridge and Danny fucking Mills sitting on our books for years for exactly this reason.

I agree mate, building the next generation of Manchester City with the likes of Haaland, Bellingham, Alvarez, Foden, Rico, Dias, Rodri, maybe the likes of Veiga , Colwill and then type of signings alongside the KDB’s Grealish etc sets us up for longevity going forward

Would Chelsea be interested in Laporte, Cancelo or Gomez to sweeten the deal? I wonder.
I'd also be sniffing around Lewis Hall as well.
Lewis Hall is another Anthony Gordon albeit different positions.
All thrust and drive, but not enough intricacy and intelligence to make it at a higher level. I would stay well clear of Hall. Not City standard at all.
