Lewis Fiorini

A goal and an assist today for young Lewis, now securing a regular place in the NAC midfield and a man of the match performance at just 18 years old. Showing his quality and impressing teammates and staff at both NAC Breda and Manchester City...

Very intelligent footballer, importantly one with output too! Could have a good career with a little bit of luck.

On that account it seems like it could be turning into a good loan. From the bits I read early doors it seemed a rocky start.

From the stuff I saw at the younger level he had ability but looked a shade below some of the others in his age range. However, getting regular senior football could change that and with a disruptive preseason owing to the Euros (covid permitting) the younger players should have a chance to take a step forward in the absence of senior players.

If he’s good enough hopefully he takes his chance.

Cheers.

He's a cracking prospect so i was hoping for a better loan than this, but seems it's doing him good.

I hope we give him a look next pre season. Really technically talented. Has impressed on his loan as well. I think there is def a squad player in Fiorini.

Team of the week for the second time - well done Lewis :)

Send him to Brighton or Leeds. :-)

Bear in mind he's playing in the Dutch second division. One of the highlights on the last page was literally against Ajax's youth team.

A Championship loan would be a big step up.

100%. A Prem loan is too soon for the lad. I'd be looking at keeping him where he is, providing they get promoted.
If they don't get promoted then Eredivise, Austrian Bundesliga, Belgian First Division, Championship, League One or SPL

I don't know how their team depth looks but sending him to Anderlecht to play under Vinny would be my first choice as his next loan.

From my admittedly small viewing of academy kids in recent year I never rated him too much, glad he is doing well.

I agree with many comments on here that a championship loan would be great next. Then premier league after.

Really good interview that. He speaks really well and in a mature way rather than a media savvy way.

Also interesting to see that the loan was his choice because he wanted to experience senior football at a young age. Got to admire how headstrong he must be to not only make that move but to stick it out abroad on his own since.
