Leyton Orient (A) | FA Cup | Post Match Thread

Either Pep is not anymore Pep or the players are not following Pep's instructions. We play with no clear understanding to what is needed to break other teams into win. Players are happy to keep passing the ball sideways forever.
Could see why he was shaking his head at the end. The last 10 mins were abysmal from us and lucky not to concede.

Main thing is we are in the next round but I didn't enjoy that. Physicality is a real issue and has been all season, even today was a problem. One bug bear I have with the FA Cup is why adopt this stupid rule of not having Var until the 5th round, absolute joke. As for the commentary, Keown was pathetic.
Yea VAR should be in from the get go, or not in the competition at all.

Honestly, we always looked like winning. 2-1 immensely flatters Orient, another day with another referee and that is an absolute drubbing.

Despite us really struggling with the confidence to put the ball in the net, we created a lot of chances, should have had a penalty, their goal shouldn't have stood, and they should have been playing the last 20-30 minutes with 10 men.

That's just football.

We didn't play particularly badly. We didn't play particularly well. We'll move on.
Marmoush getting flattened before McAtee poked one over was strange, penalty all day long and twice on a Sunday

Didn't enjoy that match. Glad we won. Credit to Orient. But that referee was not just bad, he was inviting open season on our lads and we're now a man down for Madrid. Could have been more.

Their goal, I'd say foul, and the way he landed on him was dangerous and caused the injury.

Booking McAtee for a first foul after some of the challenges let go before that was pathetic.

Should have had a penalty when Marmoush was taken out, regardless of whether we got a shot away or not.

Then that calf raker and only a yellow shown what a joker.

Still, should expect a tough game away anywhere in the fa cup, just hoped for more of a fair one.

Could actually in a weird way be the kind of challenge we needed, get that togetherness flowing.

Leyton Orient played hard and defended. Do you think football is a walk in the park?
No, I think a Premier league team, that was a champifirstast season should be able to play better against first-league team. We looked awful in the first half and clueless the majority of the time.

fucking hell. All channels want the underdog to win that's what the cups all about giant killers.

They went too far and gave us no credit whatsoever. When we scored it was like we'd ruined their weekend. Mentioned the money at every given opportunity - do they do this to other premier league teams against lower league sides?

All I want is fairness.
