Leyton Orient (A) | FA Cup | Post Match Thread

We battled well, and thats a good win for us, the boys will be pleased they battled it out and won. The youngsters.... hmmm they seem shallow or not ready for the fight, a bit flakey compared with the previous generation of footballers, a bit too humble or whatever. MCatee really has had enough chances to kick on. O'Rielly needs more games I suppose. But against Orient they should be playing more comfortably. Marmoush is still getting used to the PL and they way City players are expected to take the kicks no other team has to,,, he will get their and based on what I have seen he is going to be quite a good player.

Keown was atrocious, I understand the underdog story and even ignoring City but he showed real true colours when it came to wanting our players to be injured, wanting us (And seemingly happy) to now struggle against RM in midweek. He used to be harmless with a near total lack of football knowledge but he is actually dangerous spreading his bullshit for everyone to consume.

Marmoush getting flattened before McAtee poked one over was strange, penalty all day long and twice on a Sunday

Honestly, they weren't even particularly hard decisions. The refereeing all game was very strange.

Their right back flattens Grealish when he's beaten him and is through on goal and he gets a talking to. McAtee taps somebody's heels 2 minutes later when we have about 7 men behind the ball, instant booking.

Trash again.

Same players putting in the same shite, week after week.

Savinho was excellent in the 1st half. Not so much 2nd.

Khusanov did ok when he came on.

Other than stumbling through the tie, there’s not much in the way of positives to take from that dire effort.

The fall off in quality is so disappointing and worrying.

It is of no surprise that you're unhappy that City won.

Not pretty, but would of been more comfortable if Gundo and Marmoush do better from 8 yards in the first half. Not how you win, it's just about getting the win in knock out cup competitions. Some Minds clearly on Madrid. Hopefully Nicos injury is just an impact one.

On the basis of that, I'd play Khusanov v Madrid. Strong defensive performance today.
On the basis of his speed would Pep have him on the right of defence to keep Vini Junior in a bit of doubt?
I think he will play Akanji there but it's going to be interesting over 2 legs.
