Leyton Orient (A) | FA Cup | Post Match Thread

Well, we won! Hope Nico isn't badly injured as he looked good before that tussle. I liked what I saw from Reis and thought Khusanov was excellent. Need Marmoush to get that goal. Lewis was very good second half.

Ref was shite.
Browsing on here, you wouldn't have thought so. Were we shite? Yes. Did we win? Yes. I'll take it. We've had more than our share of "we were shite, and lost" games this season. That derby defeat was like a dagger in the heart.

Tell you what. Between your posts in the matchday threads and post match threads you are one moaning miserable **** aren't you. Like a little entitled rag.
We have just struggled to beat Leyton Orient. If you’re watching that and doing somersaults, I would go and see a doctor.

And less of the little.

Some absolute belters from Keown today.

"Not sure thats conclusevly a penalty, think he takes out his own man". I had no idea Marmoush played for Orient.

"Great not to have VAR". What? After what we saw last night?

"Man City havent turned up". 12 minutes into the game.

And his absolute refusal to admit their goal was an OG fluke. Great effort, but he hit the bar!!
If he was Roman, Keown would be called Bellius Endus.

When he said it was unfair for the goal to be given as an own goal. Just unreal stuff. I know there's plenty of pundits that get stick here, but he remains the only one I don't think I could have a pint with. He's thick, he's got zero charm, he's as biased as they come. Proper horrible weird little bastard of a man.

Watching Manchester City in cup ties is hard because anything can happen and does.
We should not be dropping to their level and getting in a fight, but you know what is coming and it's hard to stop

The result is done and we move on to the next round but it was bloody hard work

A real scrappy typical cup tie that we could easily have lost, but we're through, just.
The BBC, no surprise, we're an actual disgrace from start to finish, as was the ref.
I have no idea if we're improving or not, far too wide open at the back still and missing too.many chances. A rebuilding period, if we scab a trophy and get in the top four it will have proved to be a success, but I'd say both are going to be tough.
Haaland stand in Alvarez should have still been playing for us at Orient today instead of the diddy Madrid derby

Poor for the most part but I’m not sure there was anything that new in there relative to the other stuff that’s been served up this season.

We need a huge clear out - Gundogan, McAtee and Grealish genuinely didn’t look better than any of the Leyton Orient players. Ortega had his worst game for us. Foden did nothing, didn’t look that bothered when he came on either. Set pieces were shocking and we never seem to mark up at the back post. Same old.

Khusanov looked good when he came on. Not sure about Marmoush and his first touch.

The worrying thing is that we needed De Bruyne to come on to win it for us and he’s probably not going to be here next season as he’s at the wrong end of his career now.

We need to be buying the best in the summer and people who will improve our best XI, rather than the type of players we’ve bought in January, who may or may not reach the desired level.
