Leyton Orient (A) | FA Cup | Post Match Thread

Always thought that Pep usually picked his team on the basis of good trading sessions of players, must of thought that Jack has done enough to merit a place or perhaps knows he won’t be starting against Madrid….
Should be a starter- always plays well against them and really gets under their skin. But you are right - he won't.

Taking O'Reilly off leaving Bernie on switched to LB is the type of issue that has caused so many problems, favorites not form players, I can see another quality player moving on.
Ref was a ****

A lot of endless possession without a great deal of end product. Sometimes it takes an absolute age to get to the opposition penalty box by which time they have everyone back.
Their goal was a good shot but it was clearly a foul on Gonzales, if we were in that position I think only Kev would have thought about trying the shot. Generally we pass, to the side.
We did well to come back and win, we kept at it. Thankfully Lewis thought to shoot and in a packed area you always have a chance of a deflection.
Kev took his goal very, very well - thank the Lord.
We are so far from the team we were.
They are league one but we struggled. It doesn't bode well for the next few games but it will be a different team no doubt.

That felt like pre-Pep City tbh. But Orient deserved praise. I just wish, when we are ahead, we would stop fannying about around our penalty area instead of keeping possession in midfield.

Just leaving Leyton on the train to Epping to pick up the car for home. 4 hours kip last night and a 5am start sometimes you wonder why you do it. But a few beers in the pub, a lovely chat with an old Orient fan (Grandad and his Grandson good on them for sticking with a lower league club) another ground ticked off and the life feels good tonight.

I thought they deserved a draw, an old school cup tie blood and thunder, they fought and used their muscle and the referee allowed it. They created a fantastic atmosphere and all credit to them. When Marmoush was hacked down id love to see one just one city player run to the fucker that done it and got in their face instead of holding our arms out to the referee for protection. We are desperately missing some steel in the team.

I thought O'Reily and Mcatee failed to grab a chance, but it shouldn't be their one and only chance. We struggled the first half being typically slow and then stretched them in the second and found the gaps. I'm not convinced Pep has found the antidote yet, we're misfiring and it's been a long run and I'm failing to see any turnaround and progress. Take the win and hope we find some form but right now I can't wait for the end of May.

Just in Euston. I was in the Home End and their fans were great. Old school. I told them I was a neutral but they didn’t look convinced. Great little ground which was rocking. We were shite but a good trip and now for Madrid.

Day to forget for a few lads, sloppy. 316 can still get in the bin, hate it. Commentary was dire as per. Job done into the draw. New signings all settling in ok.

Nice easy home draw to get a look at Echeverri next please.
