Leyton Orient (A) | FA Cup | Post Match Thread

Because he is a rag you believe he ordered his players to purposely injure ours. Bonkers to say the least
I said it wouldn’t surprise me, not quite believe he did. He wouldn’t be the first to try it. I remember Fergie mouthing off about refs not protecting Ronaldo before a derby. A derby in which SWP was targeted and injured for a while afterwards.

Quite a tough game. Orient played quite well and we were well below par, with that 1st half being very poor from us. Had to be that it was us that would concede the likely goal of the round winner, although Kev's goal had much more quality as far as I'm concerned. Anyway we're into the next round and probably won't see that team again.

I've now seen three match reports and the distance for Orient's goal keeps increasing, with the BBC (Simon Stone) now claiming 50 Yards.
By this this tomorrow, the shot will have come from the Away Supporters Coach Park.

Even more bizarre, Stone then argues that it's unfair on the Orient player to class it as an own goal, despite asserting "Ortega wouldn't have known that if he hadn't tried to stop it, then it probably wouldn't have resulted in a goal"

His name is Stone; Piss Stone. And he's simply a rag Muppet. He was the inspiration for the nursery rhyme Simple Simon.

How can the Orient goal be described as brilliant. It was a complete fluke. If the shot had been on target Stephan would have saved it and the odds of the Orient guy being able to hit the bar and get a deflection off the goalie must be the same as united winning this years CL. And as for the experts whining that it should be given to the Orient player they are completely deluded. Perhaps they think this is the first time a shot off target has bounced in off a defender via a bar or post. KDB’s goal was far better.

Absolutely!
Nobody has mentioned the word luck when commenting on the goal.
The only skill involved was hitting the x bar which was never his intention.
Without the assistance of Ortega’s considerable arse that would not have been a goal.
Fucking lucky.

The whole world knows it was a fluke, it was an unlucky own goal and probably a foul on the City player. BUT the media and especially the craven BBC Sport are bad faith actors who take pleasure in perverting the facts to create a false narrative. stone, McNumpty, Shitter etc are no more than jumped up little second rate fanzine scribes, failed wannabe journalists. Pathetic really.

Away cup tie on prime tv against a lower league team in red. Why can't we play in our Sky blue kit ? Are we not proud of our proper colours and what the fuck is that shite outfit we seem to wear in Europe?

Unfortunately selling replica kits is BIG business and that takes precedence evidenced by the abysmal "Oasis kit"... shame
