Agree. I actually think he would have been in the place of those that have been getting regular bench appearances - Lavia, JWE, Mbete etc...but probably actually used whereas they weren't.

The amount of times we’ve had Steffen and Carson on the bench this season, I think he’d have been there instead of Carson without the injury.

Don't think this will be a common opinion but I'm more excited and more optimistic about his chances in the first team than McAtee or Palmer at the moment. Purely because Palmer and McAtee are obviously not better options than Mahrez or Bernardo yet, but Delap could conceivably be a better option than Grealish or Foden up top in the near future.
